Birdhouse mania! This year we thought it would be fun to have each of the kids paint a birdhouse to hang in Grandma's yard. We went to Michael's and basically bought every style of birdhouse they had as well as all of the outdoor acrylic paint!!
Grandma Ginny lent the kids smocks so they wouldn't get their clothes messy and off we went.

Each kid started out with 2 colors and then added more from there. They did such a great job. They really took their time and paid attention to details.
Grandpa Bob got a golf cart this year! The kids LOVED riding in it with him. The older kids got to stand on the back and hold on while the younger ones rode in front.
More fun times on the lake. When everyone is here we take out our pontoon and my uncle Paul's as well so that we have enough space. Then we tie them up next to each other so the kids and adults can back and forth between the two boats.
The kids always have a good time swimming together and the weather was so HOT and HUMID while I was there that if we didn't have access to a lake, we would have been dying in the heat!

ReplyDeleteYou are right, and even being hot and humid it was a glorious change of scenery!! Growing up I thought it was so boring, but now I really enjoy going back and seeing all the trees and green!!
