Last Day of First Grade and Water Day

It is so weird to say that I have a 2nd grader.  It is weird to think back to her birth and how tiny and helpless she was.  She is now a very confident, intelligent, and outgoing little girl.  She sure does have a dose of attitude as well.  We are so proud of her and everything that she is doing.  We couldn't ask for a better girl!  Joelle finished her entire 1st grade year with ALL A's in every subject, in every quarter.  As we all know, Joelle can be a bit of a free spirit and is very talkative.  She ended the year with Excellent in all but one category for Behaviors that Promote Learning.  She matured a lot this year and really came a long way.  She loved her teacher Mrs. Lucas (who also had David in 6th and Megan for a subject of 6th).  Joelle enjoyed going to school every day and we could not ask for more than that.  She was even ready to go back to school after every break because she, "missed Mrs. Lucas"

On the last day of school we have Water Day.  We rent 3 water inflatables and the kids have a blast.  As you can see the fire hose is also a BIG hit!  For some reason the kids love to be sprayed right in the face:)

Waiting in line for the race.

And off she goes!
Joelle had a wonderful time at water day, and I was so happy to be able to be there for a few minutes to watch her.
