Sea World Part 5 Sea Lions Live

Clyde and Seymour always put on a fantastically funny show!  It always draws a huge crowd because the trainers do such a great job being funny!

Again, it is so impressive that all of these marine animals are so well trained.  This show even had an otter that was part of the cast!

As we headed out of the park we passed the Flamingos.
The girls got to check out the tide pool animals.

This was an amazing trip.  Joelle had never been to Sea World and Megan had not been there for many years.  Joelle loves animals and wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up so this was a perfect trip for her.  Of course, now she says she wants to be a trainer at Sea World when she grows up!

Sea World Part 4 Pets Rule

Ready to watch the show Pets Rule.  All of the dogs, cats, and pigs on the show are rescue animals.

It was pretty impressive to see the tricks that the dogs and cats could do.  I know you can train cats, but who really does that?  It was pretty impressive to see first hand.
After the show we went to check out Penguins.  It was hard to get a picture and to really even see because their habitat was so cold that the condensation fogged the glass.

The Sea Turtles were amazing!  They are so beautiful.

Megan and Joelle went on the Rip Tide ride.  Joelle loved it!

Sea World Part 3 Dolphins

Waiting for the dolphin show to begin and Joelle spotted orca and dolphin puppets on sale.  These were a must buy!  Joelle likes to imagine and play pretend so these puppets will give her hours of playtime.
The girls decided to sit in the middle of the splash zone and Steve and I decided to move a little higher up.

The show was like a fairy tale with a princess looking for her prince.
The trainers were in the water quite a bit with the dolphins and rode on them as well.

How amazing that the dolphin can jump so high that he literally reenters the water going straight down!

There were also acrobats in the show who drove off these high platforms into the water one after the other.

Dolphin surfing anyone?
And a graceful dive off.
The show included pilot whales as well.
The waves obscure the view but the princess is riding on the dolphin all around the tank.

Spectacular jumping skills.
Amazing when they had 4 doing the same jump routine.  Very well trained and exciting!  I have been to Sea World several times and each time is like the first.  I hope this is a memory that Joelle will keep with her for years to come!

Sea World Part 2 Orcas

Orcas are my favorite marine animal, I even have a tattoo of one on my leg, so I am not sure who was more excited to see them, me or the girls!!
We watched the orcas as they were hanging out "backstage" before they put on their show.
Orcas are breathtakingly beautiful and majestic.  I am in awe when I see them.
Ready for the show!  Of course our seats are in the Splash Zone!
We got some ponchos to make sure we weren't drenched after the show.
Tight fit!!

And when the show began, the wonder and amazement did too.
Watch Out!  Luckily these splashes were not directed at our area.
What an amazing sight to see an 800 pound orca jump out of the water and perform!
It looked so effortless on their part.  They are very reward motivated and got fish constantly during the show.
Sweet move. You got to love the action.  This orca literally spun on its side in circles on the platform.

Love it!  They are able to jump so high.

Coming up on the side to spray the people in front of him!
Fun flips through the air.  How amazing!
The bow at the end of the show.  These guys all came to the platform and accepted their applause.
