Horse Riding Lesson Number 2

Meet pretty girl Vanna!  Joelle got to ride this gorgeous girl on her second lesson.  Before they could ride, she had to brush her and even clean out her hooves.  It was pretty cool to watch.
She had a great time and really loves the horses.  We had the instructor all to ourselves today so Joelle got a lot of really good feedback.  She had to guide the horse around the ring close to the rail by using the reins.  She also had to use her legs and voice to get Vanna to trot.  She said that was her favorite part, the trotting.

As you can see, she really enjoyed herself.  Right after the lesson we went to Barnes and Nobel and got her a book about horses so she could learn about all the different breeds.

Spirit Week

Sports Day!!
Super Hero Day!
Joelle was pretty excited about the cape!!

Horse Back Riding Lessons!

Meet Lucky!  Joelle had her first horseback riding lesson today.  We went to a place called Triple L ranch and it is literally 1 mile from our house.  It is so convenient.  This is Lucky.  Joelle and I had a good time before the lesson just petting Lucky and getting to know her.

Before you can ride the horse, you have to get them from their stall and lead them to the prep area.  Joelle learned how to brush the horse and how to put a hand on their back end when you walk around them.  Once they were done prepping the horse, it was time to prep Joelle with boots and a helmet.
Joelle loved every moment of it.

Here she is using the reins to turn Lucky.  She was very focused and had so much fun.  She is looking forward to her next lesson!

Helping Daddy Cook

Joelle always wants to help anyone cook anything!  I am hoping that she has a great desire to cook than I do!

First Day of School

Joelle was so excited to begin 1st grade.  She is such a smart girl and just loves learning.
As you can see, Rainbow Dash rode in the car with her to school!!

Rainbow Dash

Joelle has wanted to go to Build A Bear for a very long time.  I finally convinced her that if she would leave Froggy in her bed each day, she could go to Build A Bear.  She always wants to take Froggy everywhere, to school (I will leave him in the car) and any trip in the car we take.  She plays with him around the house, and then cries when it is bedtime and she can't find him!!  She agreed and Rainbow Dash became her best friend!

Grandkids!

Well, this is the best photo I was able to get of all the little grandkids together.  They all have spit fire personalities as you can see.

Marshfield Zoo Take 2

On our second trip to the zoo we had the Niekamps with us!!  It was so good to see them.  Joelle was very excited to Brooke and the boys.
Love Brooke and Joelle's faces!  They are fierce.
Woo Hoo!  4 feet tall already!
They all had fun feeding the ducks.

Slip N Slide Afternoon!

Joelle had a blast all by herself playing on the slip n slide.  I remember when the slip n slide first came out, and we had a blast on it too!

Fourth of July Fun

The kids had fun with sparklers and some LOUD fireworks!

Waiting for the parade to begin.  The girls were so excited to get candy.

I can just imagine Joelle telling the girls what awesome candy she just got!

What trip to Wisconsin is complete without Rocky Rocco's Pizza, none!  After the parade to headed in to get my fix.

Dress Up Fun

Grandma Ginny and Aunt Tracy did it again!!  They found more dress up clothes!  The girls put on a fashion show and really strutted their stuff.  As you can see!

We also completed the tie dyes as well.  I don't have a picture of the finished tie dyes because we just didn't have the leisure that we usually do.

Mission Lake

I am just going to let the pictures speak for themselves....

Warhawks!

All the kids got Warhawks gear this summer!  Now I just need some for me:)
