Play Time in the Pool

Warm weather is here!  Joelle loves playing the pool with her Daddy.  Heck, she loves doing anything with her Daddy!

School Spring Carnival

This year was the first school carnival that Joelle went to that she was actually a student.  She was so excited and had a blast.

Some of my 5th graders stood in line with her at the zip line.  I was really surprised when she said she wanted to go, but I had to work at my booth so I couldn't take her.  I really wanted her to be able to do it since she decided to take the risk.  Lucky for me I have the best 5th graders ever and they waited in line with her.
Here she is getting in the gear.  I was worried that she would chicken out at this point, but she did not.  The harness gets put on at the end of the ride and after it is on, you have to walk like 100 yards to the huge staircase that leads to the starting point.  I thought for sure that while she was walking (on her own and by herself) that she would stop, but she didn't.  She walked up both sets of stairs and did not hesitate!  I was so proud of her.  Look and watch for yourself!

Easter Morning

It took Joelle a few moments to find her basket, but boy was she excited when she did!
There is nothing better than a new glow pet.  She loved it!
Unfortunately we had to hit the road early on Easter Day, but we did have time to get a picture with Gma!

LA at Easter

Auntie Monique knows how to plan and throw parties!  For Easter she had a big bash at the house and Joelle got to help her get ready for it.  They filled around 70 eggs!!

Joelle loves to be helper and had a blast.  Megan had the fun job hiding the eggs in the yard.  Well for most of them hiding isn't exactly what I would call it, more like out in the open so little kids could find them!  We got everything set up and the party began!

There was a bag decorating station where the kids had stickers and foam to stick everywhere on the bag.
Joelle was very proud of her finished product:)
There was even a face painter there.  She was awesome and the kids waited in line for a long time to get their faces done.  Joelle wouldn't tell me what she wanted, she said it was a secret.

And here she is smiling like a cheshire cat over her secret face!

And you guessed it, she wanted to be a vampire.  What is my child's fascination with vampires?  At least the lady made her a cutie vampire.  I loved the eyelashes, and I guess all that matters is that Joelle was happy.

After an egg hunt that everyone loved because they all got like 8 eggs, Auntie Monique had the kids play some games.  This is the "hot potato" game.  The kids were so serious about it, it was hysterical to watch.  We all had a wonderful time being able to spend the holiday with family and friends.

The Baby Whisperer

Megan and baby Trinity.  Megan had a blast in LA because there were so many babies to keep her occupied!

Easter Gifts

Joelle loves to get anything in the mail, especially if it comes in a box!

Joelle was very excited to get a hoodie bath towel and new colored chalk.  She even made this pretty picture for Grandma Ginny!

Basketball Fever!

Joelle is already practicing for basketball.  I told her she could play basketball next, so she has been trying to get ready.  She makes me keep track of how many baskets she makes and she won't quit playing until she reaches whatever number she decided upon.  Today I think it was 11.

Joelle Learns How to Ride a Bike

Joelle wasn't really too sure about this.  She doesn't like to ride her bike too fast, so I was worried that she was going to have a hard go of learning to ride without training wheels.  I was wrong!  Now she just has to learn how to not put on the breaks when you don't want to stop!  She is growing up right before my eyes and there is nothing I can do about it but watch in wonder and awe.

Soccer Ends:(

Joelle had a blast this year playing soccer.  Her coaches were very good and she learned a thing or two.  The kids are always excited to get their trophies!

And Joelle won a 100 tickets at the soccer party!!

The Oscars- Kids Express Style!!

Joelle and Mr. Andrew.  Mr. Andrew always makes things fun at Kids Express.  He hosted the 2nd Annual Oscars.  All the kids got their picture taken on the red carpet.  Then students got called up to receive their awards.  Pretty Cool!  Mr. Andrew had David and Megan in Kids Express and has known Joelle since she was 9 months old.  She is very lucky because our schools Kids Express is the best!

Spring Break Projects!!

Got this headboard for 25 bucks!!
And I painted it a dark brown to go in David's room.  After 3 years he finally has a headboard!
We had some roof issues and the leaking caused the drywall tape to peel and sag.  So, I patched it up and painted the ceiling on the patio.
Then we decided to paint the walls.  It was a two day project and took a lot of hours and work.  Stucco is NOT fun to paint!  But, it turned out so nice and by using a darker color the dust won't show as much either.  Now I want to decorate more out there!  Steve said he even thought about having me paint the whole house!!  Haha, that is so not happening, but I do like the color.

Patches Random!

My snuggle boy!  He likes to watch TV with me, until someone in the house moves, then he has to investigate!

Earrings for Joelle!

So, I have wanted Joelle to get her ears pierced for quite some time, but Joelle wasn't really interested.  I was very surprised when on the way home from school one Friday, Joelle announced that she wanted to go and get her ears pierced!  As soon as we got home, we headed out to Claire's to get them pierced.  She was very excited but a little worried.  At Claire's they had some stuffed animals near the ear piercing chair and Joelle grabbed one of those quickly.  I was very proud of her.  She did a great job.

Happy 9th Anniversary to Us!

How wonderful it was to celebrate our Anniversary and theirs!  Andrew and Monique got married at the end of March and Steve and I in the middle.  They flew to Arizona for the night and we had wonderful meal and wonderful conversation.  I am so lucky to have such great in-laws!!

Pre School Friends

Alejandro, Joelle, and Hayden.  These three had been together since the 1's classroom at Perry High Schools Lil Express!  Joelle even plays on the same soccer team as Hayden.

It was nice for the kids to catch up and the adults too!  Peter Piper Pizza is always a hit.  To bad David wasn't working, we could have given him a hard time!

Bass Pro Shop

No trip to Arizona is complete without hitting up the Bass Pro Shop.

Here we are waiting for David and Megan to arrive.  Now that David has his license he likes to drive everywhere!

A very serious game of Tic-Tac-Toe was happening!
David ordered an enormous burger.  Like he literally had to smush it together in order to get it in his mouth.
He did not look like this when he was done.
