Earrings for Joelle!

So, I have wanted Joelle to get her ears pierced for quite some time, but Joelle wasn't really interested.  I was very surprised when on the way home from school one Friday, Joelle announced that she wanted to go and get her ears pierced!  As soon as we got home, we headed out to Claire's to get them pierced.  She was very excited but a little worried.  At Claire's they had some stuffed animals near the ear piercing chair and Joelle grabbed one of those quickly.  I was very proud of her.  She did a great job.

Happy 9th Anniversary to Us!

How wonderful it was to celebrate our Anniversary and theirs!  Andrew and Monique got married at the end of March and Steve and I in the middle.  They flew to Arizona for the night and we had wonderful meal and wonderful conversation.  I am so lucky to have such great in-laws!!

Pre School Friends

Alejandro, Joelle, and Hayden.  These three had been together since the 1's classroom at Perry High Schools Lil Express!  Joelle even plays on the same soccer team as Hayden.

It was nice for the kids to catch up and the adults too!  Peter Piper Pizza is always a hit.  To bad David wasn't working, we could have given him a hard time!

Bass Pro Shop

No trip to Arizona is complete without hitting up the Bass Pro Shop.

Here we are waiting for David and Megan to arrive.  Now that David has his license he likes to drive everywhere!

A very serious game of Tic-Tac-Toe was happening!
David ordered an enormous burger.  Like he literally had to smush it together in order to get it in his mouth.
He did not look like this when he was done.

Hanging with the Grandparents

Joelle and Grandpa Bob had fun playing some games together.
And she even showed Grandma Ginny how well she could read.  She is reading a book that she has never read before!
She only needed help on a few words and Grandma Ginny was very impressed!

Spring Training 2014

No visit from the Grandparents would be complete without Spring Training games!!  The kids always have to get new autographs!

We saw the Reds play the Angles.  We wanted to see the new Cubs stadium and they were scheduled to play the Dodgers, but of course they were sold out!  The only stadium we haven't been to is the Cubs new stadium.
We went to a night game at Reds stadium.  We decided that night games are the BEST and we will do one every year from now on!

The Reds had some totally hilarious little shows between innings.  There were all types of blow up "things" and there represented players and things like that.  It had all of us cracking up.  We decided that they must have better entertainment at the night games.
Joelle loves her Daddy!
Even mom and I took a selfie:)

Tombstone 2014

This year we went to Tombstone with Grandma and Grandpa.  The kids and I had never been there so we were excited to check it out.

It really is amazing.  The buildings are the same as they were hundreds of years ago.
Ah, Gun Fight at the OK Corral!
We watched a reenactment of the gunfight that Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday participated in.  They came out unharmed.  We even got to see the exact location of where the fight happened.  It was pretty cool.

Here are the kids with the Cowboys-The McLaurys.
And here they are with Doc Holiday and the Earp brothers Wyatt and Virgil.
This was the actual site of the fight.  The men are positioned as they were in the fight as well.  They were only like 6 feet apart and they fired more than 30 times in 30 seconds!!

Great photo of the kids in a vehicle of the times!  1881!

The kids even got to shoot some guns, sure they were paint guns but it was a lot of fun!
David and Megan wanted to go on this tour so the three of us went.  If you know Megan she is a fraidy cat!!  David and I had a blast watching her get more bugged out by the minute.  As we ended the tour we walked into an area and there was a woman in white floating around and Megan bolted!  It took her by surprise and she literally RAN the rest of the way out.  David and I were laughing so hard.  The lady that worked there said she had never seen anyone get that scared and run out like that.  Not only did Megan run the rest of the way out of the tour, but she literally ran right out the door into the street!!
On of the best parts of going to Tombstone was getting this photo taken.  Grandma Ginny and I really wanted to do the photo, but we were worried that the kids would be bored.  Fear not, they had a blast getting dressed up with holsters.  Even Grandpa Bob enjoyed doing the picture!!  All of us are holding real rifles and shot guns.  We each got 2 guns to hold.  We are a pretty bad ass family:)
