Pool Time

Joelle is putting her skills to good use!

The girls showing off for grandma and for anyone else who would watch!

The bigger kids are playing a little chicken.  It was pretty comical to watch.  And boy were they SERIOUS about the game!

I think David and Megan did quite a bit of trash talking!

The kids swam after the ball game, and before we headed out for Bay Beach the next morning!

Appleton Baseball Game

Here is the whole crew!  Luckily the majority of our seats were in the shade but it was still a hot day!  The Appleton game became one of our new traditions last year.  We watch a game and stay overnight at a hotel and then head to Bay Beach to following day!

The kids had plenty of popcorn and hot dogs and any other ball park treat you can think of!  Oh yeah, lots of cotton candy too!

There was a huge sandbox at the park that the kids had a blast playing in.  Uncle Travis took them to it for a few innings.

Steve and the kids decided they needed to take a "Food Field Trip" to check out what the vendors had available.  As you can see, they had plenty!

A sandwich big enough to share!

Look at all the smiles, must have been good food.

The kids really liked the mascot!  Joelle called him the guy with the baseball in his nose!

Swimming Lessons!

Joelle was great at her very first swim lesson!  We enrolled her into a mini summer session.  She went for 10 days 30 minutes each day!  We would leave Aqua Safe and she would come home and practice for an hour or two each day!

The first 2 videos were from the first day of lessons and this last video is from one of her last lessons!  She made such improvement.  She now swims like a fish and jumps in and has so much fun.  Before she could swim and had to  wear the floaties she would never stay in the water too long.  Now we can barely get her out of the water.  We are very proud of new fish!

More Soccer Fun

Joelle really liked playing soccer this season.  She wasn't on a team with her buddy Hayden, but she rocked it out!  This season it was a co-ed team and that was a good experience for her.  Her next soccer stop?  Gilbert Youth Soccer with her bud Hayden.

Pre-School Graduation

The day that my precious baby girl was born was the happiest day of my life.  Or so I thought at the time.  When she was born I was sure I could never love her more...but every day, every hour, and every special moment makes me fall in love with her more.

Joelle Graduated from Lil' Express Pre-school on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 10 am.  We were so proud of her!  Steve and I watched her perform and teared up!  Okay, Steve's eyes may have watered and I was crying.

They sang several songs for us, some of the songs were in Spanish!

Joelle and her classmates.
Taime, Sammy, Dylan, Hayden, Sophia and Alejandro have all been with her for at least 2 years.
Hayden and Alejandro have been in her class since the 1 year old room!

She was very proud to show off her certificates!

This graduation marked the end of one period of life and beginning of another.  My baby is a kindergartener.  She will be going to school at my school so that makes the transition a little easier on me and probably her.  Who am I kidding, it will make it a ton easier on me.  I love the though of knowing where she is and what she is doing.  I hope I get to see her in the halls from time to time as well!

Memorial Day Weekend Family Fun!

What a wonderful holiday weekend!  We began our three day weekend with a little mini golf and bumper cars!!  We had a little family competition on the golf course and David won!  I came in 2nd and I am pretty sure that Joelle beat out Megan!

Joelle got some golf lessons from the best golfer we know!  She LOVES mini golf!

Megan was pretty excited when she finally got a ball in!  Just kidding, she actually did well.

Sometimes you gotta take your time and scope out the hole to determine the best way to approach it!

I was a hot day so we had to take a few breaks!  It was wonderful to spend the day with all the kids and have a little outing.  Our lives get crazier and crazier the older the kids get and who knows how many days like this we will have when we are all together.

So, I didn't realize that the bumper boats had water sprayers!!  Needless to say, we all ended up pretty wet.  It was full on war out there!  There was a lot of ganging up on people!  Joelle had a blast spraying her siblings and her daddy.

You can see the close proximity of the boats AND the sprayers!!

And of course, we had to hit the arcade for a minute or two!

The next day it was time to bowl!  Ever since Joelle had her birthday party at Brunswick, she loves to go bowling!  We had a wonderful afternoon!  Even though I totally lost, I mean even Joelle beat me!

Joelle patiently waits for her ball.

Action shot!  See the intensity in Megan's face.  This girl competes at EVERYTHING she does!

No trip to the bowling alley is complete without spending time at the arcade!

Shocker, David and Megan competing!

Megan is showing off her strength!  She made the bell ring:)  Great way to end a great weekend!
