Megan the Big Baller!!

So, Megan began the basketball season at Perry two weeks ago.  She has gotten a lot of great feedback from the coaches.  It all started with a talk from one of the coaches where she was told that she had a lot of potential and would probably be on JV this year (instead of the Freshman team), but the Freshman team needs her help.  She was also told that if she keeps working on her skills, it was likely that she could go straight to Varsity in her Sophomore year!!
Fast forward to last week... her coach texted her after practice and said "just wanted to tell you great job today in the post and rebounding.  You're going to dominate this year!"
THEN, her coach told her she could see her playing college ball!!  This girl hasn't even played in a full on game yet and this is the feedback she is getting!  I told her I was going to be living vicariously through her!!

Joelle is a Baller!

A few action shots of Joelle playing ball!

Happy Halloween!

Joelle and Julie were ready to hit it once again.  Elsa needed the company of Raphael from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to keep her safe!  We sure did run into a lot of Elsa and Annas.
They were so cute!  And ready to get some candy.

We ran into the Nortons!  Brandi used to work at my school and Quinn is in kinder this year and is in Kids Express with Joelle.  We went down a few streets with them, then it was time to head home.
At this age, they can only last about an hour or so and then they are ready to go home.  The girls said their feet and legs hurt and they were ready to come back!!  Another successful Halloween.

Carving Pumpkins!

Time to carve the pumpkins!  This year was the first year that Joelle was able to carve the pumpkin herself.  Daddy cutout the top and the rest was up to Joelle!

Megan is an old pro and is always trying to carve a tricky symbol in the pumpkin.
Thank goodness for special carving tools!
This year we decided to do this inside.  I must have had some weird intuition because it was very windy as the night went on!

Hard at work.

Not to shabby for her first jack o lantern on her own!

Lakers Live!

Kobe taking it to the hoop!  Steve and David take in a game!

The Amazing Race

Megan and her mom entered the Amazing Race in Scottsdale.  Their costumes were super heroes!!  Doesn't she look cute!
They had to post photos on Facebook as part of the race.
As you can see Megan had to do a fun challenge that involved getting her face decorated.

They ran hard for most of the day!  Megan has some great photos.  She wore a camera so it is all on video!

Monster Mash!

So, my little darling is obsessed with The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  She has over 40 episodes saved on our DVR and she has watched the movie in the theater twice!  Not to mention that we have the first movie from the 80's and the third installment (thank you Walmart)!   She loves them all, and thinks the show is hilarious!
A quick selfie before the party begins!
Joelle and one of her besties Ava.
Joelle and Ms. Parris (her kinder teacher)
Joelle and Mrs. Lucas (her 1st grade teacher)

Joelle and Mrs. Hindall (Her long term sub since Mrs. Lucas had a baby)!
My 5th grade team minus John since he was staring in the Odd Couple!
Joelle and her good buddy Avery!

Megan Turns 15!

Look at our beautiful girl!!  Megan turned 15 this year.  It is amazing to think that she is becoming such a grown lady.  I remember meeting her when she was just 4 years old!!
She was a silly, smiley faced little girl back then and she still is now!
Here are some of the out takes from her party!  What is it with kids these days?  Pictures in the bathroom all the time!!
I think Megan said they played Dare or Dare!  Love it

Nothing better than stuffing your mouth full of marshmallows!

Old Friends

Joelle and Hayden have been friends since they were 2!  They went to Perry together and played soccer together for 3 seasons!  It is always a good time to have a play date at Peter Piper Pizza!!

Lost Wagers:(

Sooooo, I like to have fun teasing my kids about their sports teams and bragging about my own.  I will even go so far as to make a bet with them, knowing full well that I will win and the humiliation will be theirs.  Or in this case, mine!!
