Campfire Fun

The kids (and adults) always look forward to a cozy campfire at the end of a hard day of play and sun shine!  The kids know that once the camp fire starts, S'mores are not too far behind!
Joelle wasn't exactly sure what she thought of her first S'more.  She is pretty particular about things and the gooey marshmallow wasn't very appealing to her at first.
She finally did get a good bit, but she didn't like it!!  She couldn't have possibly gotten a bit that included the chocolate because she loves chocolate!  Weird girl, oh well, we will try again next summer!

The best part of the campfire is when the kids are all in bed and the adults get to hang out and talk.  Quality adult time is hard to come by when there are all those kids running around!

It's been a while.......

Well, I was doing really well at getting all my summer pictures up.  But then school happened!  Grading papers for 5th grade is more time consuming than grading papers for 1st grade.  Plus, the beginning of the year is always so crazy with all the meetings that are happening.  David joined a tackle football team and has practice EVERY day from 6-8!!  Between school and home, we are running like crazy.  I think I am finally at a place where I can take a breath and get the rest of the pictures posted!!

Family Triathlon

Every summer Tracy competes in a triathlon.  This year the kids also competed in one the night before Tracy's race.
Tye was very serious about this!  He ran in his crocs and the chain on his bike fell off, but he was still one of the first 10 kids in his age group to finish.
The kids all got medals and popsicles.
The next morning Tracy did her Triathlon.  Travis biked with Tracy and Em ran with her.  The kids loved giving hi fives to everyone who came by.  I don't know how my siblings do it.  That exercise gene is just not in my body.  I am very proud of them.
