WOW

So, today I got home early from work. I made a lovely stir fry with whole wheat pasta instead of rice that was very tasty:) Joelle needed a bath so off we went. She was having a great bath, cleaning herself, playing with her rubber ducky, and filling the cup to pour water on herself. I was on auto pilot in my own little world enjoying the peace and quiet and the happy sounds from my youngest. Well, until the sounds weren't so happy! She said "Mamma!" and I looked at her and busted out laughing:) I know that is so mean, but it was necessary. She said her bath was all done. She was standing at the very front of the bathtub on her tippy toes with her hands on the wall like she was going to climb the tub wall. She was looking at the water with sheer terror on her face. In the water there were little turds floating. And she wanted nothing to do with them:) I took the water cup and began "fishing" for turds. Joelle would get very nervous when the turds seemed like they were coming her way and she would tell me "There's another one". As I picked each one up, she said "Thank you, Mamma". I tried to explain to her that if she just asked to use the potty, this would not have happened. She wasn't interest. By the time I had "fished" them all out, she forgot what she was so terrified of!!

It's Pooping

I had a late meeting at work today and Steve was lovely enough to make dinner (I cook Mon-Thurs) and already had meat loaf in the oven when I got home. I made plates for Joelle and I and we sat at the table to have a lovely meal. I was putting dressing on my salad when Joelle said "It's pooping." I was confused until I realized that the dressing container was almost empty and I had to keep really squeezing it and it sort of did seem like it could be pooping!! Only a 2 year old would come up with that correlation!!

He Made The TEAM!!

David tried out for flag football. He had tryouts every morning at 7am. Which meant I had to get up an hour earlier each day to make sure he was at practice on time!! Well, it was soooo worth it. He called today to let us know he made the team. It is a 7th and 8th grade team. 87 kids tried out and they took the top 30. We are very proud of him. Junior High has been going well for him. We can't wait to watch his games. We are so excited for this aspect of his life to begin. Way to go DAVID!!
